I like to capture the beauty in the photos I use to take from the places I visit and the moments I live. The beauty of the world, of people, of nature, of cities, of the environment in which they live. The beauty of life in general. I know, many see life as ugly and hard. I choose to see its beautiful side, to immortalize it, before time turns it into a memory. It’s like an imprint of the places I’ve passed through, of the people with whom I’ve lived unique moments. It’s what’s left at the end. That doesn’t let forgetfulness creep in. A chain of memories with which we go on.
I chose to see the beauty of life and people, even if sometimes I ignored the less beautiful side too much, which at some point ended up hurting me. However, I continued to see that beauty, keeping it in a corner of my soul. Sometimes people told me that I am naive. Seeing what others cannot see is not naivety. It’s sensitivity to the beauty surrounding us, even if it sometimes ends up hurting. To ignore the beauty that exists in every human being is to ignore the essential. The fact that we are all born with a certain beauty, physical or spiritual, but we were not taught to see it. We suffocated beauty with the criticisms heard over time, which we accepted as part of our lives, and which, over time, turned into self-criticism.
People are beautiful, just like life. I see their beauty every day, I immortalize it in a corner of my soul to last forever. As long as I choose to look at it, I open myself to life.
